“Love you Zindagi” is a humanitarian assistance project that aims to foster the well-being of individuals. The campaign is reaching out with a motto to assist the strugglers & survivors of nicotine addictions via empathetic and holistic ways to bring forth a difference in their lives. India has the highest prevalence of oral cancer, representing around 41% of oral/pharyngeal cancer cases in men and 11% of cases in women. Tobacco use on such a massive scale causes a colossal burden of diseases and deaths, with disastrous health, social, economic, and environmental consequences.
Thus, while furthering the vision the project is bringing together and partnering with a crew of tobacco control professionals including clinicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, counselors, social workers as well as potential agencies/institutes who would assist the individuals to triumph their long-standing battle with nicotine. Interventions would target smokers as well as chewers, with a focus on youths, the elderly, and pregnant women.
The project envisions to create a Tobacco-free city and reduce mortality and morbidity due to its usage.
